Message from the President on TOHO Group Human Rights Policy
At TOHO, we are committed not only to inspiring people by providing world-class entertainment, but also to operating in a way that contributes to the happiness and health of our employees, business partners, and communities where we live and work. As guiding principles in this endeavor, we have identified four material issues in our Sustainability Policy. One of these is "Respecting human rights and fostering a sound and fair corporate culture."
In order to establish a system that enables us to sustainably fulfil our corporate slogan, "Entertainment for YOU, Inspiring People Around the World," we recognize that respecting the human rights of all individuals involved in the TOHO Group’s business activities is essential. In March 2023, we established and published the TOHO Group Human Rights Policy in line with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
In recent years, various business and human rights issues have increasingly been identified in the entertainment industry.
Since 2022, the TOHO Group has been conducting internal human rights due diligence to identify current challenges. Going forward, we will also work to identify and address business and human rights issues within our supply chain, and will take measures to address them in a timely and appropriate manner.
As a company engaged in delivering entertainment through movies, animation, and theatrical plays, we sincerely hope that advancing these initiatives will contribute to addressing broader challenges faced by the entertainment industry as a whole.
The pursuit of respect for human rights is fundamental to our commitment to creating a safe, fair, and healthy workplace and society. We will continue to implement various measures, including human rights due diligence, on a continuous basis.

Health Management
Health Management Declaration
In April 2022, we announced "The TOHO VISION 2032 TOHO Group Management Corporate Strategy." In this document, we set forth our long-term vision and growth strategy toward the 100th anniversary of our founding and declared our policy to focus on securing and developing "human resources" based on the recognition that "human resources" capable of creating new value are the major driving force for growth.
We believe that creating a work environment where employees are healthy in mind and body and can maximize their abilities will lead to the mutual growth of both the company and its employees.
Under the corporate slogan of "Entertainment for YOU, Inspiring Customers Around the World," we will actively promote support for employee health maintenance and improvement activities and workplace environments, and work to create a vibrant organization.
